Planning on going on your next hiking and camping trip then keep in mind to have all these essentials that you must bring for your next trip. If you don't have these items then you might find your experience less enjoyable than you want to.

A flashlight is really important to see where you going at what is in front of you. Most likely you're going to be spending a few nights and the dark so flashlight will help you not only see where you're going but also deter any animals that might come your way. Another obvious thing you should have with your camping trip as a backpack. A good backpack will provide you sufficient space and opportunity to bring what you like and what is important to you. Lighter
You'd be surprised by how helpful and handy lighter comes in. A lighter will help you start a fire or in certain emergency situations you can use it to scare away animals or get the attention of someone. Traditional lighters are not eco-friendly and not the most economically viable option so instead you could try plasma lighters with lighters without fluids. There are many choices and designs from the 21st century that you might like. Or if you are a little old-fashioned then you can always get waterproof lighters that can be refilled without having to get rid of the outer canister.
Tent
When you are buying a tent make sure to get a tenth that is waterproof and moisture proof. Because in the morning there is a lot of water vapor that rises into the atmosphere. If your tent is not moisture proof than it is going to soak all that moisture inside the tent and make it really uncomfortable inside for you to sleep in. Sometimes you can even make you feel sick and give you a bit of a cold. Depending on how many people will be camping and hiking the size of the tent will vary but make sure to get a tent that's big enough but it doesn't hurt to get a tent that is a little bigger.
